Leftover ka makeover part two

Rice is something which comes under leftover items many times. And always making a fried rice or lemon rice out of leftover is not so cool.

So again my friend Reet Parihar tried her hands on leftover rice to make yummy cutlets as healthy snacks and rice parathas as healthy breakfast.

So let’s see the Cutlet recipe first:

Cutlets using Leftover Rice:

Ingredients:
One small bowl leftover rice (boiled /fried both can be used)
Half cup washed rice flats/flakes (Poha/chiwda)
Half spoon red chili powder
Less than half spoon garam masala
Little turmeric powder
Methi leaves (dry) or coriander leaves (chopped)
Crushed dry fruits (optional)
One spoon suji/semolina
One potato boiled
Salt to taste
Oil to fry

Method:
Mix all ingredients very well.
Put little oil to your hands and make balls
Or give desired shaped sprinkle some suji over the balls. Fry till turns golden brown..
Your #Cutlets are ready.

Serve with chutney/sauce of your choice.

Note…… if you don’t want to deep fry then put little oil on a non-stick pan and fry the cutlets until turns golden brown.

Rice Parathas using Leftover Rice:

Ingredients:

Leftover rice

Salt (as per taste)

Chilli (as per taste)

Ajwain (as per taste)

Coriander finely chopped

Method:

Mix all the above ingredients.

Roll a roti and fill the filling as you make an aloo paratha.

You can put little more filling than usual because its easy to roll the rice parathas as rice is little dry in texture.

Serve hot with butter and a hot cup of tea.
